So... my beater/DD doesn't have a straight panel on it and looks like shit. Its a true beater to say the least. I have thought about doing the body work and repainting the car. Then tonight started thinking about spraying it with a line-x type bed liner. I could do this myself for way less (real sprayed, not that roll on crap) than a paint job and wouldn't need to fix any of the dents/dings really.

Here is the car... Have to put the bumpers back on and maybe find a hood. As you can see the roof is beat up also.

A lot of truck/4x4 guys do it for off roading and trail rigs. No worries of scratches and if you get a dent you can push it out and never even tell. There is a red FJ I see on 285 sometimes that is done. All sheet metal with flat red bed liner.

I have seen people in the off road scene do this a lot to the exterior, engine bay and floorboards. If you can figure out more reasons to do it then not to go for it. To me with your car being a beater I would leave it just like it is a beater. If it starts when needed and gets you where you need to go why touch it.

If it's your DD might as well go for it.

I saw a picture of a STi rhino lined. It looked sick. I'd say go for it. You really don't have anything to lose
