1980 notchback. Had no springs at all and hair shocks on all four corners. I bought 4 air compressors from K-Mart and hooked each one up to one shock so that each shock had it's own air supply. Ran the lines up to the front from the trunk, et voila, 1980s air ride, lolol.
The pic was taken back in 1988.
And my 1982 Ford EXP. Moon disks and all. This was taken (at a buddy's home) back in 1985.
Later, QD.

Damn... now THAT my friends is how slammed is done.
Never seen a 4 eye sitting on the ground, I honestly kinda like it. Wouldn't be my first choice, but I can respect it.
Also interesting air ride setup.

Reminds me of my uncles 1976 Mustang with a 5.0 swap and manual tranny swap. And it was converted to a truck... Dubbed "Mustruck" I had the keys only had to get it towed, then he sold it :(

Yeah, lolol. It took forever as my compressors weren't powerful, but it did the trick. I could do all the motions as juice, just took longer to accomplish. Later, QD.

I'd say it was a little time consuming :lmfao:. Still really neat for it's time. I remember the first car with any type of aftermarket air ride in my area wasn't around till the late 90's.

Haha, yeah. Little known fact is that the EXP was a sporty version of the Ford Escort. The EXP stood for EXPerimental for the Escort. It was a 2 seater hatch. Later, QD.
