sorry my age is 18 im going to use the bike to comute about 100-150 altogether about 4 days a week. Prem. gas and that many miles aren't cheap plus putting all the extra miles on the car.
reps for help though!!
punkr6 what all did you do to get the insurance so cheap. I called geico and progressive and was quoted 2500 from geico and almost 5k a year from progressive
I'm taking a motorcycle training course tomarrow to lower the price and going to get lo-jack or an alarm to lower the price if that is going to help any one giving any info.
thanks,
Josh

87 month is not that bad for your age and the fact that its a sport bike. If there is anyway possible to get your parents on the title, they could insure it for a lot less then you. I did that once a long time ago and it saved me a lot.

What kind of coverage do you want. If you get liability only it is gonna be hella cheap. Thats what I got and its only $82/yr for my bike.

I'm almost 28 and my 07 Ninja 650R is only ~$10/month for liability only. When I had my 06 Busa, liability only was also ~$10/month, but I went for full coverage at <$40/month. This is State Farm.
2006 Yamaha R6
State Farm
Full coverage $26.xx a mnth
Multi car discount and a few others, age 25

dr650 dual sport cost me $67 per year for liability. So I upgraded to full coverage for $104 for the year.
I didnt think it was that bad.

Progressive was the cheapest by a long shot for me. Gieco was the most. Allstate was in the middle. I'm with USAA for my car... and they use/sent me to Progressive for my bike.

I've got an ugly driving record with 3 speeding tickets and a DUI. My insurance for my 02 R1 is $45/mo for liability only through Allstate.
In some cases, having a clean record really does pay...

I used The Warnock Agency in Oakwood and they beat any price I could fine. Its through Progressive and I would recommend using them.
Their number is: 678-450-8003
Give them a call and see what they can work up for ya.
Let me know how it goes.
