Auto loan?

I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right forum but I'm looking to get a loan for a car. I will probably put $16k down and looking to finance $16k. Anybody know of a good bank or credit union with good current rates? Credit score probably in the mid 600's.

hmm, you should proofread your question. You said you were gonna down $16k and ask for a $16k loan. Why not just pay it in cash if you have enough?

As far as I understand it, the lowest possible rates for a used car would be through a credit union (5%~7%), then a bank (7%~12%), followed by a finance company (12%~24%). BHPH options are usually kept as a last resort (~29%).

What he said. I've been with them since '94-'95 and had more loans through them than I can remember..no issues.
