heres the deal

ive built a 9.4 :1 compression ls using a ls block and gsr internals with the factory head gasket.

i plan on going ahead and assembling the swap and running the car on a factory obd2 ls ecu for emmissions then converting to obd1 with boost.

my first priority will be getting the swap running.

do you guys think this engine will run with no tuning and no cels so i can smog??? granted ive got it all wired correctly.

will the factory computer throw cel just cus the bump in compression.

ive heard of people shaving heads and decks to achieve a high comp ratio and still smogging with the extra power.

my only other option is to go ahead and order my .063 cometic gasket to drop it to 9:1.

im really wanting the .072 gasket for boost with arp studs after smog soo thats why i wanna use the .030 gasket at first.

what yall think.

For the emissions, us should be fine as long as everything is wired right... I had a 11:5:1 comp. in a B18C5 motor and passed emissions with a stock OBD2 B18C1 ecu... Personally I like obd2's for emissions I think if u know what ur doing they will pass easier... As for the head gaskets I do not know???
