My first time seeing a shuttle launch. My school is 40 mins drive from Kennedy space center.

I went the first night and was really pissed when they called it off. Really hoping the weather stays away or they realize there is nothing left to fix.

Make sure u stand back far enough....Uh, NASA and various government agencies do that for you. Unless you know someone in the control tower it's highly unlikely to get within 6 miles of it.

You are not done. You still have to watch Ferrari, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo, Lotus, Corvette, Ford, Maserati and Grand Prix greats.

I have them all on by big hard drive. Some of the stuff i can recall in my head. :D

No idea. I got there so late that after i finally found some "parking", i just ran over there to see the view, (which was really good by the way).

Remember, this was at 1 something in the morning so i was half asleep.

Remember, this was at 1 something in the morning so i was half asleep.I'd love to take a Canon 5D MkII camera with HD video and put my 300mm lens on it. With a 2x teleconverter making it 600mm the shuttle would probably fill the frame lol!

We were far away enough to where it wasn't deafening but you could tell the energy coming from it. It took like 2 minutes for the sound to reach us.

where are you going to school?

i grew up in ormond beach\palm coast fl and we used to get up on the roof to watch the shuttles take off

usually you could track them long enough to see them drop their boosters

also anytime they had a shuttle land in the cape instead of tx

the sonic boom would scare the shit out of you if you happend to be outside at the time
