Just curious, but does anyone else here deal with stress related health problems? How do you deal with them? Over the last week, I would have benefited from stock in immodium ad. I literally went through almost 2 bottles and a shit load of tums.

Just curious if anyone knows of something that works better than immodium to calm ulcers and such...

I do. I have an irregular heartbeat and when I become stressed it begins to get extremely out of hand. Currently I'm not on any sort of medication for it because my doctors don't exactly know what it is. I smoke cigarettes to relieve the stress, but that only causes more health problems especially since I smoke a pack a day.

stress ball, working out, simply sitting in a dark room with no distractions to just clear your mind, remember that nothing lasts forever, avoid dairy, grains, and spicy foods, drink tons of water

I've been dealing with ulcer related issues for a long ass time and I can honestly say that nothing helps me when it's full blown.

I DONT KNOW IF MINE IS STRESS RELATED BUT THE LAST 4MONTHS OR SO, MY SKIN HAS BECOME REAL SENSITIVE...WHENEVER I SCRATCH, I GET WHELTS(SP?) OR EVEN IF I HOLD A SEMI HEAVY OBJECT ON MY ARM...ITS JUST FORMS A WHELT...I DNT KNOW WHATS GOING ON BUT I'VE BEEN MEANING TO GO TO A DERMATOLOGIST FOR THE LONGEST, BUT I WORK TOO MUCH

Yeah, it's a double edged sword.

I almost ended up in the hospital last night. Something severly unpleasant about vomiting blood..:(

My friend had that problem, it ended up being something to do with some sort of alergic reaction. I can;t remember. I will ask him though

Whatever they'll give you at the doctor is no stronger than shit you can get over the counter...

Like JM said, diet, exercise, avoiding stress...that's going to be more beneficial than any medicine, to be honest.

Yea I get where you're coming from. There are times where my heart gets out of control and I end up passing out, blacking out, or I have to sit down where ever I'm at and control my breathing. It sucks that I haven't been prescribed anything so I take my the medication deal in my own hands.

i used to deal with high stress situations all the time. The best thing i can tell you is find a place to be able to just relax. doesnt have to be anything special and go there. i still go and sit hours at the beach cause its just a stress free place and it allows me to think out my problems. as for your stomach. im not exactly sure what all you can and cant take. i generally just drink alot of water and stuff.. but thats me. but i wish a the best of luck with it and hopefully your situation will get better

stress ball, working out, simply sitting in a dark room with no distractions to just clear your mind, remember that nothing lasts forever, avoid dairy, grains, and spicy foods, drink tons of waterI SWEAR THAT IS A FREAKIN TRUE STATEMENT...I MEAN, I WASNT TRYING TO MESS MYSELF UP OR ANYTHING, BUT ONE NIGHT AFTER GOING W/ MY SISTER TO PICK UP HER HUSBAND, WE GET BACK INTO TOWN LATE THAT NIGHT AND THIS PLACE THATS OPEN 24HRS SERVES THESE AWESOME HOT DOGS AND SAUSAGE DOGS...WELL I GOT TWO SPICY SAUSAGE DOGS AND A FOUR LOKO...ATE THOSE...I DNT KNWO WHAT MY NIGHTMARE WAS, BUT I SWEAR TO U NO FREAKIN LIE I WOKE UP I THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT FUKIN PISSED FOR NO REASON.

SO IT GOES TO SAY, THAT WHEN THEY SAY DRINK WARM TEA AND WHAT NOT, SOMETHING THAT WILL SOOTHE YOUR SOUL BEFORE U GO TO SLEEP, IS ABSOLUTELY TRUE...SAME PRINCIPLE APPLIES W/ STRESS:goodjob:

Easier said than done however, you need some time for yourself...
Even if it's just an hour or two a day...
Just enough time for you to wind down and relax for a few.

Alcohol helps a little but you can even it out by chain smoking, but I don't mean "a pack a day" bullshit, that's for pussies. you might as well be wearing a dress. Wake up and do a shot of 80 proof anything, leave it on your nightstand the night before you go to bed and go through at least 1 full butane lighter a week from smoking. it sounds like hard work and expensive but you have to stay disciplined and keep it up. Do NOT falter or your symptoms will return.

For the last year i have been having anxiety attacks. over time they have been getting worse. i thought i had it under control for a while. but they started coming back about 3 months ago with vengeance. I had this chick over here one night and had one. Shit was so bad it triggered a seizure. I blanked out for about 30 minutes total. When i came to i was surrounded naked in my floor by my mom, the mexican girl i was fucking prior to all this happening, and about 7 paramedics. man did i feel awkward.....

Cold showers when possible. Doing something that requires the use of my mind in a way entirely opposite of what I am thinking about which is making me feel like shit.
