Me vs Procharged Gt....... Video Inside..

Well last sunday night jordan (sleepys4) calls me up and says that he is meeting up with a couple friends before heading out to the sunday night meets spots. He then also says that one of the cars is a procharged gt on 10 psi somewhere in the 475-500 hp range and that i should run him. At first i was like fuck you, but after some hyping up by jordan and everybody there i finally said fuck it, lets go!! Heres the crazy part, I told the mustang owner i wanted to do a dig and said he wanted to do a 50 roll :eek: so i signed up for that of course. Heres the outcome....

I managed to pull a fender and a half before shutting it down( hard to tell in video). After the race the guy states that he likes racing to 160-170mph, and i was like you must be crazy !!

even with stock gearing, a new gt wil only run up to the 130's in 4th gear. so boosting all the way through 5th gear. not a smart idea lol

No he would not have to be that high in hp to beat that gt. He probably would only have to be in the mid to higher 300's to do it because he is so much lighter than the gt. Power to weight.

Thats what I was thinking at that boost level. I just ran one not long ago and he was just over the 400whp mark at 10psi with full bolt-ons.

Its not a fully built motor, has some head work amongst other things. Its still needs to be retuned, I think I'm handling that some time next week.

i couldnt tell from the vid if it was a 2v (99-04) or 3v (2005 or newer) gt. if it was a 2v i would say his numbers were in the 400-430rwhp area. if it was a 3v he was makin at least 450 rwhp or has a shitty tune. all p1sc procharged 3v's avg out between 460-480rwhp @ 9-10psi

A good rule of thumb is 100mph race. So whichever speed you start from, you add 100 to that and shut down at that speed.

People rarely do that though, it's usually a 60 - 80mph stretch. I like going longer just because I have tall gearing and want to spend SOME time in my power band heh
