ok, ive been desperately looking for a kouki 240sx, well i found one, hes asking 4500$ with 145k on it, so today went by his house just to glance at it. The rear tires are BALD some parts showing metal.

Looks ok for a 240. But I'm sure it has been beat on and it is going to be really slow. I wouldn't pay $4500 but I don't know much about 240s. I wouldn't pay more than $4000 but that just me.

ive seen several stock kouki ( 97-98 240sx) go for 7k that were in this condition. the motor i just need to last for a few months, then comes the sr20 :). thanks for the input guys. this is hands down the best deal on a kouki i have seen yet. but im gonna atleast talk him down to 4k

by the way anyone know how to repair that ding in the pillar.

The best way to fix that probably would not be bondo but to cut that section out and replace that section and weld it and sand it down smooth, any body shop should be able to take care of that.

If you really like the car, just get it! and pay what you feel the car is worth.

well i test drove it, drives like expected, normal for that year mileage, tranny mounts feel old, and may need alignment, check under the car and all is straight, ac only works on the 4 setting, the tails have been downgraded to zenki's,. so i think im going to offer him 3k and go from there, i dont think im going over 4k for sure though., checked vin and all is clean, one reported repair from an accident "10/17/2007 Automotive Parts Supplier

well for one i never said anything about drifting(ive been in civics my whole life , of course i cant drift lol), and i starting liking 240s from working on z31's with my girlfriends dad, but v6's arent really my thing, and i just think s14's look nicer than s13's and koukis nicer than zenki's (IMO). and mostly i want to have something different for a change. but i really dont have to explain why i like the car, i just wanted some different perspectives on this( and i greatly appreciate all the input, its helped me with this decision). but in the end i DO want the car, i just want to cover all the basis since this is my first 240.

I'd tell him 3k and go from there, but that's just me. Most Kouki owners think their shit don't stink and that they're sitting on a mound of gold, and some of them need to be brought down to earth. Sucks when an 18 year old car is in better shape and has less use on it.

My .02 is that 240's will send you to the poorhouse, but they are a hell of a lot of fun while getting there. It's also a LOT cheaper to make a 240 fast than to make a Honduh fast. $3500 in honda swap world = b16. $3500 in Nissan swap world = RB25DET, bumping on RB26DETT. :D

And I don't think $4k is too bad to spend on it. 240s are enjoying a jacked up price range these days.
