so i really have taken my camera out to shoot anything, was watching TV and saw the cammercial for the Soap box derby. well i was wondering if anyone was planning on going and if they were did anyone want to meet up to shoot the event. if ur interested post up. :goodjob:

I will be there with a few friends as well. I think 10th st @ Piedmont are the streets its being held at if I'm not mistaken. Pits open at 11am open ceremony @ 1245 and first car @ 1pm. Seems like it will be nice

They have been advertising the heck out of this soap box derby.

Its gone from 'indie localized event' to an over-promoted spectacle which will undoubtedly disappoint when you can't park anywhere/can't see anything.

At least the rain is supposed to let up!

What a waste of fucking time. I went a little late I guess, but I've never wanted to punch people in the face as much as today. Strollers, douchebag event planners, douchebag Atlanta police, douchebags in general. Damn. Where did you guys end up being? I basically struggled for an hour in the gridlock sidewalk and tried to get a beer at the park tavern which wa closed for a private party. I should have just slept in. AND I got ripped off by some worthless bum at the Marta station. Fucking douchebags should get a fucking job.

It's right by my house. I don't go even though it's walking distance because I know how all of the events at the park are. Full of too many lame people—all in your space and shit.

Tell me about it. There's some rude people in this city. Oh and never trust people selling "unused" Marta tickets. All they do is charge up one ticket, let you in, then give you a dead ticket. Happened to me before.
