i have a 97 integra gsr, i have a b16 head my question is i am planning on putting the b16 head on gsr block with p30 pistons 2 layer head gasket, type r intake manifoild and dual valve springs and titanium retainers and maybe some cams and cam gears, and crome tune now what do you guys think this setup would do on performance, hp and torque? post a reply no pms thanks, p.s thanks for the help james if you read this!

You would loose some low end and overall power because the b16 head will actually causes lower compression. If I am not mistaken, .2 over all. So your best bet is to find you a gsr head. Are you going turbo or all motor?

Why 2 layer head gaskets? People are having hard enough time with just one...LOL.

I think this would be a pretty good setup. I would do a stock OEM 3 layer headgasket. If you want the extra compression (only an extra .2 of compression) I would deck the block about .006". Also, run some pretty good cams and good header and exhaust. I would say 195-205whp and 135-145ft/lbs if built right.

well james told me p30 pistons well bump my compression back up to a little more then stock gsr compression, so thats why i am wnating input from everyone.

well i wanna do it right but they said that ctr pistons with the b16 head would bring my compression up to 13:2:1 witch is alittle to much for dd.

Yea i know it is.. CTR is too HIGH!

B16 or just some other aftermarket pistons would be good..

well the head is a pr3-2 head but i was reading and they said it could be a 97 itr head or b16 head, but as it looks its got dual valve springs on exhaust side and on intkae side but james said that the cams doesnt look like itr cams so i dont know maybe just wind up selling the damn thing.

I say P30 pistons because they are JDM B16 Pistons, CTR pistons are PCT. USDM B16 pistons have a 6.01cc dome instead of a 6.93cc (JDM B16).
CTR Pistons have a 8.63cc dome Which in this combo would yeild close to 13.1 comp ration too high for a daily.

You should also install an old school playstation and play gran turismo before you race with yer friends... make sure the welds on your intake are okay and don't forget to double clutch.
import some more over-nighters for balla status too.
