Being that it looks like he's at some sort of an event, I'd give the benefit of the doubt that it was just laid down for picture reasons or just to have it there for quick lifting to show underneath. Later, QD.

It just isn't closed all the way lol. The hood prop is a Honda thing. The corvette hoods open from the front:

I meant to add my thoughts on this and I agree with this guy. Ebay and ass product makers have made these style headlights look so cheap now. They may not be Ebay lights, but they sure look like them. It just makes it look cheap.
