Anyone know of any good places to get hot wings? Fuck zaxbys I like my wings cripsy not soggy. The 2 places that I have found to have good wings are either J.R. Crickets next to the Varsity (we go there every V meet) but jrcrickets is pretty far for me. and Taco Mac but I've eaten there a lot and looking for a new place.
What's your opinion? (Which would be greatly appreciated)

Suwanee, like 15 min. From mall of ga
Taco mac's wings have gone to shit recently. Ever tried making them yourself? They are pretty much idiot-proof and only take 10 minutes. And if you double-dip them they are 10 times better than any restaurant

I have a suggestion, keep in mind, it isn't close to you, but I assure you it's WELL worth it. There's a place on Peachtree St. Just south of Intermezzo. It's on the opposite side of the road. The name of the place is R. Thomas. You won't be able to miss it, just look for the screened in outside patio with a whole bunch of plants, a wooden indian, and other interesting stuff. I've been eating their wings now for over 15 years and it is the ONLY place I order wings at. The wings there are the best I've ever had. They are not deep fried, they are baked in a 2" deep pan on a rack. The sauce is something like 8-16 ingreedients and is VERY tasty. I know it's a far drive for you as it is for me. However, just give it a try and you decide if it's worth it for you. I personally happen to LOVE those wings and I've tried to replicate the sauce at home, but have been unsuccessful. So far I've taken at least 50 different people there over the years and all of them have gone back many times, so that should tell you something. Give it a try and let me know.
Also, the homemade bleu cheese, the french toast on challah bread, the homefries, the penne pasta with range chicken, and the omlettes are great too.

one of the best dive places I have found near you that makes great chicken wings is called B.B. Wings off Indian Trail. Behind the QT and McDonalds! other than that, the best wing place I have ever eaten was at the Wing Shack outside Columbia, SC

quick and easy, Bucks pizza, makes GREAT wings, they bake them not fry them, and the hot wings get the tastiest sauce put on them.
i have got about 6 or 7 of my friends completely hooked on them.

Yea, JR Crickets is amazing. Although I don't know if I've ever been sober enough to really enjoy them. lol BB's is also damn good.
BLIND PIG in Athens has the best wings I have ever eaten in Ga period. I dont really do flavors except for medium, hot, ect and I always get medium or hot at Blind Pig. They have a ninja level of hot that I've never tried cause I heard they are too hot to enjoy.

Bump for Buffalo House, I used to hit them up all the time. Very good selection of food.
International Cafe on Buford Hwy. It's right across from the Pink Pony and Club Miami. You won't find better wings anywhere else in GA.

Wild Wing never cooks the wings all the way through. I think they must set their fryers too hot because the skins are crispy, but the middles are always raw.
I will give them props for their "braveheart" sauce though, its the only one I've found anywhere thats spicy enough for me.

I like benchwarmers and chicken run
They are pretty good. Watch out about chicken run though. There are ALOT of them on the south side of 75 and some of them are VERY nasty in the back.
HJ Wings & Things are very good. They are the bigger kind that isn't crispy. Their honey bbq sauce is off the chart. They have one in palmetto, 2 in newnan, one in griffin, one in mcdougnh, and another in fayetteville.
For the dry and cripsier kinds, my wife likes hooters.

Thats just a side effect of the food poisoning. :ninja:
One time I went to wild wing in athens with a local GTG and a guy found a napkin rolled up inside his wrap. WTF... how does that even happen? Maybe they poured too much sauce and used it to soak some up and forgot about it?

Hot Wing 2 (it looks like Hot Wing sub 2 like the 2 in H20 would be written in chemistry)
It's in Embry hills. Chamblee Tucker Road just off of 285, in the plaza where Henderson Mill Road meets Chamblee Tucker, right next to the billiards place "Mr. Cues".They are a small independantly owned restaurant. Their wings are crispy, and other than making them a little greasy, they don't leave any sauces on your hands. VERY good, and a little bit of a local secret to the Dekalb/tucker area.

It might just be me but I have found the best wing places are always run by Asian people. I remember I used to go to this spot on Franklin Rd. when I was a youngin' and we would hit that place up before going to the little club that was over there or when we got kicked out of D&B for being too young. I don't even know if the place is still there, but the sauce they had on their wings was hot with just a tad of sweetness. I think it was called Wings Town.

sorry for the late reply, forgot about this thread. keep in mind it's not the cheapest place, but i've been eating those wings there for about 20 years now, so i happen to like it, but i've noticed a few other people on here happen to not like them. addresss below though if you want to give it a shot. don't worry about the people who said it was like 5 wings per order, they're forgetting most places get their wings and drumettes in different boxes already separated. R's get's theirs with the wing and drumette attached. so 5 wings there is basically like a 10 pc. anywhere else.

Wild Wing Cafe has some awesome wings.
Varners in Smyrna on Mondays has a special. Double your order for free. Large wings, decent sauce, the best Ranch EVER. So, 20 wings, fries, for $8.50.
Taco Mac's Death wings have a good taste.
Anyone know of the spiciest wings in Atlanta? I've been trying to find some I just can't even eat. :goodjob:

I mentioned that place in my initial post that created this thread. I was looking for a different place other than the greatest JR Crickets.
FATSO's Bar and Grill in Dacula-Best Wings, we use to go to Wild Wing in Suwanee, but FATSO's in Dacula is the BEST. They are off of Auburn, and Old Fountain Road.
