Torque wrench???

Just curious which kind of torque wrench people prefer using? Just curious as how good the electronic ones are to the non electronic ones and where to get a good deal on one? thanks

I prefer a non-electronic. I use a dial torque wrench and although it has to be sent off to be calibrated once a year, I wouldn't sell it for all the tea in China.

Do you just want it for the typical passenger car lug nuts/studs or engine work?

Heard good or bad about them?I have no personal experience with an electric, however Tyler at Killswitch bought an electric and it fucked up right after he got it. I gave him a spare dial torque wrench I had (because I had bought one for a EPA project that fell through and he had done above and beyond work to my 240) and as far as I know it has served him well.

my digi i have been using straight 3 or 4 years now. just send it off once in awhile make sure its all good. as far as warranty goes dont drop it an your fine.

my 1/2 i hardly ever use anymore. still a great tool.

lol nah I stopped buying tools from autozone...lesson well learned :doh: and actually since my car got broken into some weeks back and my tools got took I bought a nice craftsman toolset I'm very happy with so far,and was looking at their torque wrenches too.However the snap-ons are looking pretty sweet lol

I have a snap on digital torque angle piece of shit. I'm on my third one in 6 months. The piece of shits cut off in the middle of a torque angle.

I have no complaints of my snap on's mechanical torque wrenches though.
