A guy frequently spectates at Road Atlanta with a window unit ghetto attached to his van window and a generator on a little crate thing off the tow hook LOL.

LOTS of duct tape.

why the generator when you could use a power converter?

Because you'd destroy the power converter with the current that a full-on house AC unit would draw
