Someone apparently left some bags in the courtyard, and the janitor came to pick them up and one of three bags went off, and blew him up..

They took him to the hospital, but it wasnt a serious bomb..details on 11Alive website..

What is up, shit i think our terror level should raise again. We are at orange now right?
Who would try and blow up a janitor, or who would even have the mind to do that and leave a bomb too kill someone? I hope their ass gets beat. Are there cameras on the GT campus? If so then this bastard surely can't have been a tech student, cause if yo got in that school you have to have common sense.

chemicals in a plastic bottle? dran-o and some aluminum foil? the guy picked up the bag and started walking causing the bottle to shake and build up pressure then it blew as he was walking?

yeah pretty much - granted though it can still be taken as a federal violation if it was any more advanced - as it stands now it can stillb e taken like that

drano and a plastic bottle is fun in an open parking lot or open field...definately not in someone's hands...but yea considering it was in a coke bottle and blew up when moved and it only caused a ringing in his ears it sounds exactly like a drano bomb

with it being plastic bottles and plastic bags they should be able to get tons of finger prints to find out who it was but it won't be told till later this week...

yeah it couldve been a drano bomb... but whenever you do those... shit blows up no matter what... u dont even gotta shake it... shaking it just speeds things up... only did the shit a couple times as a child.

true drano bombs will blow up whether shaken or not but a coke bottle will also expand huge before acctually blowing so it could have just been swelling then the movement gave it the extra burst to pop...who knows it may have not of even been sitting there for more than just a few minutes before it was picked up

or the drano stuff could have been resting at the bottom of the bottle and the foil resting at a spot where it wasnting touching it, but if it was moved it would slip down and then cause it to start. i dont know how none of that stuff works but that sounds like how it could have been set to blow up only when someone moves it.

true...if they had the bottles standing straight up inside the bags with the bottom half full of drano then you have the aluminum foil tied to a string or somthing high up then when the bottle falls on its side when it's lifted then the 2 would mix....good point
