Ole Smokie (my POS hatch) is down again...

I was gonna just load a modified program to my Ostrich to get the a/f's dwn a lil in high boost and rpm then i end up turning the boost up another 5 psi bc of the race thats coming up saturday. Got me some new drag radial, new turbo is working like a champ, car aint smoking, everything is fine. Go out for the last run of the night to make sure everything was fine with the laptop out of the car and when i got back the car wouldnt idle. Had to roll start it to get it to fire back up and it drove fine but if i let off the gas it would die. Motherfucker hasnt started since.

I noticed there was no spark. Took all msd stuff off car and went back to stock igniton. Arching out of the side of the ignitor. Swapped it. No spark. Swapped coil. No spark. Swapped 2 more coils and ignitors and still nothing. Different cap and new wires just for shits and giggles, nothing.
It showed spark on number 1 at one point bt nothing out of the rest of the wires.

All of the shit might be out of order but its my vent so just shut up and read. Im so sick of this damn car right now, its ALWAYS some abnormal shit with my car. If its not running by the weekend i might seriously consider parting it out or selling it bc im SOOOO tired of the damn headache and spending money on it.

Ill keep u posted on what i decide to do with this.......piece of shit.

got it fired up lastnight. using an old chip so it still dnt idle. gonna go back tomm mrng to try to drop my cranking time to under 5 mins.

got it fired up again yesterday and beat the snot out of it. I found a couple issues with it. The REAL idling issue after figuring out the spark issue is the new Walbro that ive had since i put the car back together in november is alot stronger than the other pump i had in the car so its flooding the shit out of the car on cranking. Before i swapped pumps at my new boost level the a/f was about 12:0 at 9-10k. After putting in the new pump, a/f was at 9's and 10's. im gonna try to get back to moms a few times this week or this coming weekend to play with it some more bc tuning cranking fuel, idle fuel and extra features on crome free is a pain in the kazoo.

I complain about how it sucks to tune with yet i wont caught up the cash to get pro or gold. Lol!!

So I overheated the hatch last weekend and limped it to the the house and filled it back up with coolant. Let it col off and finally got it cranked back up. Well i drove it around the block to see if everything was fine but i was getting some smoke out the exhaust and the temp gauge was almost instantly at 3/4. I knew i had issues so due to frustration i guess u could say i finished it off. BEAT THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF IT!!

Took the head off yesterday and got a busted sleeve on cylinder number 1. I guess u can say hes dwn for the count this time around. Havent quite figured out what im gonna do yet but fiugred id let yawl know what the deal was.

I think it craked a while back and that mioght be why i had problems getting it to start and idle for a while now. But i mean i built this block back in 2000, ran it for about 4 yrs except when my turbos or manifolds where broke. So i cant complain at all bc this was the absolute 1st engine i ever built in my life. I barely knew anything about hondas except everybody was talking about b16's back then. Its a really long story and kinda touching but im not getting into all that. Lol!!

it does suck but maybe its time to move on. i prolly spent 20k on that car since 3ve had it and ud never know it. maybe its time to focus on bigger better things. who knows? in time i hope i figure it out though.

my rings for my budgte build came in. might have ole smokie back on the street by the weekend even with the tsunami. NA more than likely but it should still be fun to drive. besides, my turbo sits dwn by the oil pan so that wouldnt be good for this weather anyway. :ninja:
