i know we have some MS buffs on here. So i figured some of ya guys might appreciate this.

This is my stock crank pulley i had machined and a 2 step trigger wheel installed for my EDIS setup :)

Don't it look purdy?

what kind of trigger wheel is that? 32-1?

i have the entire kit, minus the trigger wheel and i'm going to need an extra crank pulley so i can send it to the machine shop

Its a 36-1 wheel off a ford. The other people i've seen machine down the A/C belt slot and press the trigger wheel on there, but when i went to do it i didn't like how much of the trigger wheel was going to be cut to make it fit.... so we went with this 2 stepper setup.

I have no shame in asking...what are EDIS and MS and what do they do ?

EDIS stands for electronic distributor ignition system.

Basicly its an ignition system that uses a trigger wheel to give timing and a coil controlled by a module. The coil fires on 2 seperate cycles so each cylinder gets a spark twice per combustion cycle and one spark is waste, hence the term "Wasted Spark"

MS is short for Megasquirt

megasquirt is a DIY engine management system that is available in many different stages and setups, you can make MS work on anything from lawnmowers, to old air cooled beetles, to 1000hp salt flats top speed cars. www.diyautotune.com is the largest distributor for the ms system and is located right here in Georgia.
