I call bullshit on a track car. HRE's are not permitted for use by most sanctioned events.

What's up with the rear tag, is that a laser jammer? I can't find the transmitters on the front...

Oh I thought Track was a company lol, just by the wording, is it really a track car? HRE's ARE horrible track wheels.

yea it jams the the radar for 5 or 10 seconds and he has to little leds on his dash that go off when there is a cop near and it here is a vid of him at the track. and he uses the hre wheels at the track also hahaha.

The pads used aren't very aggressive or there would be burn marks on the calipers from bits of metal and compound sticking to them. Window tint is not permitted outside of a autocross or driving event.

I'm just over analyzing how much track use it's seen :D

I believe you are confusing a track car with a race car speed, haha. Car looks good.

Car definitely gets tracked a lot and graced the cover of the April 2009 Excellence magazine competing against GT3 and mildly build Cayman S.

It sucks that IAB "robbed" him of $12,000 when they worked on it. I still would have filed suit even after paying the bill. They even charged him for the parts the cars owner bought himself, inflated everything including the hourly labor, then claimed they didn't have the original estimate because they save over it to save hard drive space. Luckily he had the original copy of the estimate. I would have an attorney on them the next day.

Seems like real estate development is doing quite well in that area though :boobies:

This is screwed up, i'd give up a month of track days to pursue them to get refunded 100%...

I REALLY don't want to start anything with this, so I'll just state the facts.

I put my car into the tire wall at the Oak Tree at VIR.

I take it to IAB and get a quote of $6,000. I agree. I am to pick it up in 4 weeks.

4 MONTHS later, I go in to pick up the car. Loren hands me a bill for $18,000. On it, he included the retail cost of parts that I actually bought and brought to him. Before I say a WORD, gasping from the bill in my hand (and how no one mentioned the extra $12k to me... not once) Loren tells me that I have no chance of getting that car back without paying that bill. When I asked to see the original quote and to compare it with the new BILL, I was told that they save over the bids as they go to save space on the hard drive. But I had a paper copy in the car. I pulled it out, and he had jacked up the costs of things from the bid into the bill, jacked up the hourly rate, and added things that weren't impacted by the crash. I paid the bill because I had to have it for a week at the track. I knew I'd sue him but I never did. Instead, I swore to tell others not to ever, ever use them. I'm abbreviating in case your uncle just works for Loren. They do very, very good work though. However, I had $9k of new Cobra alcantara seats in there. They left the windows down while they sanded the car. The interior was WASTED. They didn't complete the job, even. Never have. The Volk wheel that hit the wall was scuffed. He had it for almost half a year, charged me $550 to paint and restore it, and it never got done.

Sorry for the rant, but I hope that some of you appreciate it. That's my reasoning. But before I go naming who IAB is, I thought I'd see if your uncle is Loren or not.

Peace. Again, not an attack on you, but the man robbed me, quite literally.

Wow, I can't believe shops can operate like that and still survive. Sounds like Orton's performance, and look what happened, he went out of business. Karma is a bitch. God, if someone did that to me and since I know where their workplace is, the yakuza and triads would be burning the place down!!!
