For a couple hundred $$$ you can put a US Design Patent on a wheel. That means nobody can produce another wheel, or import it through customs, if it has a likeness to it. Automobile manufactures do it with OEM wheels and hub caps all the time. Those that don't patent their designs are at fault.

i agree, im just confused with all the knockoff talk.....and the wheel searching ive been doing. it just amazes me the price of these wheels in japan, and the price of them here. And than the amount of copies that are made over there...but treated like gold plated diamond studded vagina over here..

:lmfao::lmfao::lmfao::lmfao::lmfao:. Seriously though, ding ding ding ding, someone finally put some thought into this. Even if it did confuse you. It confuses me too. Reps to you when I can. And yes it is the original manufacturers fault for letting them be copied but shit happens. As long as people buy the knockoffs people will still make them.
