So I have always been a classic VW enthusiast. I had a 73 VW camper that I restored but never took on the road trip. Ended up selling it for el cheapo to a couple in Florida. Anyways, I have been searching on an off for a replacement over the years, but wanted something a little more modern. At the price the latest VW campers are going for, I couldn't justify paying close to 35K to 40K for a 7 yrs old vehicle. Here is one example.

Long story short. I finally found a 1995 VW Eurovan Camper via Craigslist in Virginia. Flew up there with a member on here BLKJDM to pay for the van and drove it home. Stupid GPS took us home via the mountains western part of Virginia instead of through north and south carolina. Lucky for us, the van made it with no problem. This vehicle has 2 beds, sink, fridge, burner, shower, etc...:D

I would like to do a trip like these couple one day..All I can say is that the guy got some ballz to travel as far as they did in a 84 vanagon. See link below

I wished it was diesel..Unfortunately due to U.S. emission law..The diesels are only available in Canada and Europe.

Yep 5 cylinder Audi engine. Bulletproof. It presently has 150k miles on it and doesn't leak a drop of oil or burn any.

Hahaha, I just took it out today to get an alignment since the tires on the wheels were still good..However the dumbazz shop wanted to charge me $200 on top of the $59 bucks for 2 wheel alignment to adjust the camber and caster. I told them so you are charging me $59 bucks just to adjust the toes? He said yeah. I politely told them to take my car off the rack and went home. I know business is slow but they must think I am FRESH OFF THE BOAT.

That van drives absolutely PERFECT!! I would've never believed how nice, comfortable, and smooth this van rides. Believe me I know over 3 hrs of driving thing through the mountains of MD and VA.
