ok so my speed sensor is not working i got the car like that and owner said it just stopped working the night before i got it. The car does throw a code SOMETIMES for a speed sensor code 17 and 43? (not sure if they are related) but it will come on and off, wierd cause the speedometer never works. Everything else on the cluster works besides the speedometer and the miles, they stay at 00000. So the guy bought me a new speed sensor and problem still consists, but when i took out the plug i saw this.

^this is the clip on the wire harness for the speed sensor. he said it was working but could this be the problem? or could there be a short or a split wire somewhere?
