996 Porsche Carrera 4S
....its a non-turbo, but it almost looks like one :slap:
Just picked her up yesturday, simple and clean, very well taken care of. Did a small shoot after the Carrollton meet. Professional pictures should be up by Monday. I took these on my own. I'm an amateur noob. :goodjob:

Porsches 911 don't have to be Turbo to look or be great.
My favorite 911s were NA from the factory. Its really a matter of finding the right 911 for you since there are close to 100 different ways to configure one.
Enjoy the machine.

Congrats! Car looks great and very clean.
I wish you the best and hope you don't have any problems with it. I've seen so many 996's blow motors, but it's mainly been C2's.

Nice pick-up, love those cars. But after driving and riding in various 997.1 and 997.2's, the interiors of the 996s are just gross lol. Though for the price, those cars are fantastic, and still reliable as all hell.

Even though I love my 996 and the 996 in general, the 996 is by far the lowest breed (at least in regards to looks) of the 911.. :headslap:

1) I do not know a lot about porsche. But I've seen all the generations of 911's and I like 996's the best. When I see a car I might not know all about it or the company but I can determine whether or not I like it. And the 996 is the best looking porsche to come out...obvously when I type things here they are my opinions, and I would love to hear how my subjective opinion on a cars looks can be wrong. :headslap:

Was it an S? Why did you hate it? I detail a couples Boxsters frequently and truly love the cars. They are like a Miata, but EVERY single thing you wished was different in a Miata, changed into an overall better package.

i dont know what model it was.. was a boxster sitting at a used car lot. Maybe my expectations of a porsche were too high, but it looked and felt cheap compared to the s2000 i was driving at the time.

You drove a 2.5/2.7 tiptronic, test drive a manual S (3.2), there's a 30-45hp gap between the S, non-S. IIRC some of the later 986 models have glass rear windows.

The car really builds a lot of confidence, feels like its on rails, and just completely hugs the road like a magnet. I've never been so happy with any other car.
Very nice.

Not anymore. :( Got rid of the Miata a while back for a Porsche 914, and then have been around the world, now own another E30.
But yeah, Miatas aren't that bad as long as you're real smooth, Porsche's like to become tail happy with no notice lol.

The only P car I've ever driven is a 996 turbo (~2000 415HP). I didnt get to push it but the ride was really awesome and it felt bad ass.

I ended up selling it, I traded the Miata for it, and the motor basically took a crap three days later. Didn't have the time or money to rebuild it as I didn't have a DD.
It was nice though, cleanest 914 I've seen not in a show, no real rust, interior was real clean, etc.
