Built this CAT Back exhaust today on a Audi A4 2.8l V6. Magnaflow 4"x9" oval muffler with the same side offset inlet/outlet. Magnaflow dual layer twin round angled tip. 2.5" exhaust pipe post CAT(s) all the way to tip. This came together really well and thankfully we were able to get all the parts today from our suppliers. Stock exhaust is so rediculously over engineered and it weighed a metric ton! Two mufflers stuffed under that car. We shaved near 15lbs of exahust on that thing. Sounds really really good too, very Euro V6.

darn should have gone with a magnapack. would have been slightly more expensive, shaved slightly more weight and probably sound a hell of alot better!

though question why weld the mufflers on, and not do u-bolts or band clamps for easy removal of the exhaust if they ever wanted to change it out or take it off for anything?

The CAT outlet pipes are slip joint and go into a "y". I welded on at that point. It seemed to be the easiest and make the most sense. Basically I did it the way the stock set up was.

Nice! From the back, it looks like the $1000 APR exhaust that was on my old 1.8T A4.

I would have to see what it looks like under there compared to this one, and if you are just wanting the same CAT back set up. I don't think we are going to be far off from this one though. If you drop it off in the morning you should have it back by the time we close @ 7.

Brian we are more than capable/willing to do an X pipe for you. I can weld in an off-the-shelf piece, or we can do a custom job. I would have to see it to know for sure. Same deal with the turn around on it, drop it off in the morning and you should have in the evening.

Thanks for feed back guys and gals! Its greatly appreciated and keeps us motivated to continue to put out high quality work and improve where we need to.

Well, mines is very different from the V6 on the B5 A4 you posted. What other mufflers could you guys use? I know the Magnaflow sounds good, but what else is there?

Ahhh, I see. We can use whatever muffler you would like. However if it is a brand that out supplier doesn't carry we may be looking at ordering parts and waiting till everything is here (or with you) before we schedule you an appt. Please call for a quote. I have a good idea based on your pic.

Kenny, I can't wait to hear that thing, I loved the sound of a Magnaflow on my Golf.
