I'm putting alpine type r's in my 1994 celica. Along with the components and 2 coaxes im installing a pioneer deh-p5100 head unit that puts out 22 rms per channel. Needless to say i'm installing an alpine 4 channel amp. My question is does the head unit rms rating add to the rms out put of the amp? Like say i have the alpine that puts out 75 rms per channel if does that add up to be 97 rms per channel with the head unit? my speakers will accept 110 rms up front and 100 in the back.

oh and raamat sound deadener and barrier is it worth it? the 94 and 95 celica have no deadening.

Its 1 or the other with wattage, its not cumulative.

Sound dedener is definitely worth it when applied properly

Raammat is as good as any of the other "copy" products out there....

Dynamat Extreme or Stinger Roadkill would be better choices, IMO.

I would go with Dynamat Extreme, but have also used Scosche Accumat a lot and loved it.

due to the fact that when you run a 4 channel amp you use the rca outputs on the radio to give the amp a signal. there for the internal amp will not be powering anything, since it will not be wired to any speakers so the only power your speakers will see are what the amplifier is putting out.

look up second skin audio. they have the best products on the market. its better than any price as well. Not to mention if you have questions about the products or have to speak to a rep you speak to ANT who is the owner of SSA. they work for you basically and trust me its top grade stuff. way above anything listed so far.
