Southeast Drift Challenge 2 ATL's Turner Field Sept. 12-13th 2009

If you were at SEDC in March you know not to miss SEDC2 at Atlanta's Turner Field. We are again bringing the 2 day competition format back. But this time around we are stepping it up with payouts to the top drivers. $1,000 is up for grabs. $300 to the Team Tandem winner and $400 for 1st, $200 for 2nd, and $100 for 3rd in the singles comp.

Day 1 will consist of open practice and end with the Team Tandem competition. Time to see if Drift Emporium can hold on to the crowns!

Day 2 will consist of a morning practice session immediately followed by qualifying for the afternoon's Top 32 competition. This is the comp you do not want to miss.

free to watch? and parking free?

Spectating is always $5 for watching and you can upgrade to a ride-a-long pass for $10 more. We never charge for parking but the Atlanta BBQ festival is being held at Turner on Saturday so the free parking is at the Silver lots or you can pay $10 for the lots across the street that we usually use for free.

Heres the full letter explaining the parking and for drivers there are new rules regarding fuel at the track.


"Drivers,

Please make sure your cars are all properly fueled and tanks full before coming to the event this weekend. The City of Atlanta is not allowing us to have any fuel on site what so ever at the event or future events at Turner field. Any driver with fuel or seen with fuel by the City of Atlanta will recieve a citation by an officer.

This weekend and this weekend only for our SEDC2 event we have been pushed out of our normal spectator parking do to a 1st Annual BBQ event the Braves/City of Atlanta is hosting at Turner Field. They have designated 3 lots for our spectators. "THE SILVER LOTs" will be free parking for our spectators and anyone at Turner for SEDC2. The distance is further but its free. Turner Field is charging $10 dollars for the normal front parkings lots across the street that we normally use, so if your friends/family want to park closer they would need to pay Turner Field $10 to park.

Make sure to let everyone know. We will have a sign direction SED spectator parking.

Free parking will be in the Silver lots. They're supposedly about .5 miles away from the Blue lot. Turner is charging $10 to park in the Orange/Gold lot during Saturdays BBQ festival.

My friend had her GPS stolen out of her car at the Turner Field Drift Day today. Was stolen out of a 2003 gunmetal maxima from the parking lot (orange) across the road from drift event where most people were parked. If anyone saw anything or knows anything please send me a PM. She has a higher end alarm but i assume it didn't go off as her pager was never notified.
