Thanks, but it probly wont be making this race. We have had alot of problems with eletrical stuff in the car, and the AEM system. I bought the car as a salvage car and something in the cabin harness is shorting the car out. And then AEm is being a pain in the ass too get the car running. I had too send ecu back too Aem 3 times now, and now my CDI box went bad.

Im just tired of the car, and am strongly thinking about parting out. I just dont care for racing as much anymore.

I'm running AEM in the Mustang, and in the Supra. No issues with either, and I've not had an issue in any others that I have tuned. Of course, those were all stock harness cars, and all stick shifts. I have one Supra that is an auto that I need to setup the auto tranny on the AEM - which obviously that I have never done before. IF I get the Supra ready, it will be there also, but the Mustang will be there for sure.

theres quite a few cars that will run in the 10s in that class. Considering your car has never been below what , a 12.5? I think you need to get some time in the seat at the track before you start picking people off haha.

But good luck either way, hope the car can stay together this time.

All motor class, there were just two cars. :???: Overall, I had a great time and I have another trophy to match my win from the Spring 2007 Import Showdown so I'm happy. :D

clark red lighted, i think his best time of the day was like a 9.5 or so, best time the galant ran was like a high 9 all over the track thought it was gonna hit the wall 3 times in one pass! :eek: Clark is indeed probably faster but if that galant made a clean pass it would be a sick one!

the galant was a sweet ride. that car has some potential to run faster than it did on sunday. I think it has run high 9's before. I pressed the transbrake after I staged and the car rolled forward and the transbrake never stopped it. I'd been having problems with the transbrake slipping when the nitrous comes on and almost didn't bring the car. Glad I did, b/c there were only 3-4 cars entered in showdown class.

After I got the transbrake to catch it felt like a decent run.

Thats right, there are 0 teeth left on that gear. lol I believe this was around 20-24 psi or so but its probably the heat from the runs on the dyno that really killed it.

My opponent received a red light so I got the win. If it matters, he ran a 12.7 @ 114 while I let off early and coasted to a 12.9 @ 106. I just wanted to see if I can reel him back in but it wasn't happening :lmfao:so I let off.

That Neon was pretty quick for it's trap speed. On low power, I have went 12.4 @ 110 with a low 1.8 60' but that is nothing compared to what that white Neon was running. The other red Neon and I in FWD class, we were :eek: when we saw his trap speeds.

^^ Your car was pretty quick. When you told me the times you were running, I had to turn it up a notch on my driving. I haven't competed since last year's IS so I was still trying to get the feel of launching my car on DOT tires. Slicks are so much easier. LOL. A few weeks ago I was at Silver Dollar with Evolunchbox and btstone. They can verify that I was running up to 14 second passes and trapping under 110 on full power and DOT tires. Doh!

With slicks and a FWD vehicle, you have to run in Modified/Street. I ran in M/S back in 2006.

we had EVERYTHING layed out apart on tuesday evening, should have the engine back together by wed or thurs of next week and the tranny will just go back together when liberty sends me my modified 3rd gear back to me.

Import Face Off is one of the following weekends @ Commerce then Montgomery soon after. The car will be back together but I am sure that he will be saving it for IFO, its a series that we support b/c they support racers. IFO is really the only series around this region for any of the people that just love to race to go and be competitive.
