i have a 280zx the head is off the motor.
When i put a pry bar on the crank it move foward and backward but doesnt turn the whole way. The pistons on the front and back barley move. Is this normal? Or is something wrong? car is a 5 spd by the way.

if the motor doesnt rotate freely then its siezed.

it works ...i found out on Zdriver. Not all pistons move same distance. If any pistons were fucked then they would have a odd pattern when turning over. The motor fires up but no timing to stay cranked.
