I have an ACT clutch in my car and since the start it has not been disengaging until it is pushed all the way to the floor. Right when you take it off the floor (feels like less then a centimeter) It begins engaging. I have bled it and changed out the slave cylinder, but nothing is working. My other guess is it might be the master cylinder, but I want to explore other options before i go and spend $80 on a new master cylinder and it not work. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Try adjusting the pushrod at the clutch pedal down further. Alot of times aftermarket hi performance clutches take a little more throw to disengage. Adjust it down until the free play is gone out of the pedal and maybe go just a little more.

I just put in a Competition Clutch in a Civic that I had to adjust way down to get it to disengage. Now its perfect

is the transmission leaking oil? Are there oil puddles under the car? Make sure the driveaxles are properly inserted in the transmission (should here a pop, when inserted in) and bleed out any air bubbles in the clutch system lines from the slave cylinder...

Mine had a ACT in it when I got it ,It was the same way but as mine wears it starts to disengage higher.

The clutch shifts a lot better when its cold. When Its been running around for a little, I have to double clutch it sometimes to shift from first to second.
