Hey, my Acura Inetgra is heating really bad. find out that it is my headgasket. does anybody knows how to change headgasket for a CHEAP price. also, if i change my headgasket and don't shave and pressure the head, will it be ok"?

Where are you located? and If you need it replaced give us a call 678-363-6789

I would recommend getting the head shaved and checked, just for safety.

PM'd

And if you don't shave it there is a chance that since it was overheated so badly, that it could be warped.

you can do it your self...i wouldn't reuse the oem headstuds and get a head gasket from honda....or you can pay 600+ for someone else to do it....get it resurfaced and if it got really hot i would do a pressure check at the machine shop before they resurface it..also check the deck for uneven surface.....if bad get it decked...no shortcuts= no headaches

ok, well i tested the radiator and everything. and everything seems to be fine. new thermostat and everything. also, if i were to get my head change and pressure and shave the head. it would be around $500-600. also, if they shave the block, wouldn't it cost a lil bit more?

so than im better of getting a new head, and block right?pretty much if most people if they warp the block they just replace the longblock. unless there have a really good reason for a complete rebuild.

i got dibs on his motor !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you end up sellin it ill buy it.....

heres the deal....

THE QUESTION IS......how hot did you run it and for how long.

honestly your prolly ok with changing the gasket if it just blew....

now if youve been driving it and runnin around town. overheating it over and over again. thats a different story.

once i was driving through new jersey and my thermostat stuck. it overheated so bad the car cut off.....

the damn radiator popped on the side of the road when i pulled over...... i thought my shit was pushed in 10 hours from home. lol. well i changed the radiator. and kept the water full. never overheated but my hg was deffinately blown.

i replaced the gasket and never had a problem again.

its up to you. a machinist can check your head in minutes and tell you if its warped.

you have a better chance of warping your wheels before warping the block from overheating from a head gasket, the heads are what really like to twist under bad conditions.
