Why u shouldnt do 110 on used tires

so anyways i was being crazy and decided to pass a friend that was doing like 70 and i was gonna fly by him and the entire tread popped off my rear driver side tire. luckily i wasnt being too crazy and i was too lanes over and there was no traffic. i almost spun out on the highway but ive been driftin a lil bit so i didnt panic (ok maybe i did a little) and over countersteer. i got off the highway and was shocked at the body damage. i didnt even realize it was my tire while it was happening. i thought engine was or lsd was fukin up because it was loaud as hell and shaking like crazy. even more wierd was the tire was still full of air! the tire had atleast 30 percent tread.

what could cause this dry rot or sumn or being really old???

anybody know a good/somewhat cheap place to get this fixed? how much you all think this will cost me?

Used tire shops is your best bet if your looking for cheap. but if you plan on going 110 again. Get BETTER tires!

My biggest mods on my car happen to be what makes me get around a race track faster.... brake pads, rotors, tires, High temp brake fluid, (soon to have stainless brake lines).......

those get changed out frequently, which cost me over $1300 ever couple of months....

i could have invested that money into making my car faster but what good if HP and TQ without reliability and durability, and safety.....
