oh thank you, i didn't realize that everything on the internet is correct information. look fuckstick, my title says "Ram R/T" so get out of my thread and go find someone else to listen to your crap.
and your signature is ignorant. I'm sure you consider yourself a patriot in which case you need to back the gov't that this country is built on instead of making a mockery out of the president.

1. its an open forum so I can post in here all day long
2. your title is wrong and you need to get it checked if it does say that.
3. Dodge never made a R/T ram...... yet.

I would reply to this but this is the car pic section. Not the politics section :goodjob: If it bothers you that much turn the sigs off. Have a nice day.

Either way, its a dodge performance truck, it looks good and i'd rock the sh@t out of it!
Ive never seen a ram R/T, but i dont know so i wont take sides..lol but that sure does look like a dakota 5.9 R/T badge.
And i know the only performance model ram back than was the SS/T with the biggest magnum V8 in the lightest truck!

not too much really. its already tastefully modded. just some I/H/E to squeeze the best gas mileage that i can out of it.
as to everyone talking about what kind of truck it is, lets just drop it. i posted on here to see what everyone thought of my truck, not to start a debate.
but if youre bored and are interested in if there really is a Ram R/T, check this out : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTASE43CvNU

We are simply stating that this particular truck is not an r/t....maybe we will save you the embarassment of not knowing what you are driving when you explain your vehicle to more knowledgeable people. Please don't take this the wrong way but if you continue to announce your truck as something its not(i.e. '98 Ram R/T), you will be flamed.
It would be like putting srt-4 badges on a '96 neon and saying they did it for a year....
Josh...
08-03-2009, 09:45 PM
Two things; You don't buy a dodge for gas mileage, especially not a 5.9 so no need in wasting your money. And good luck with a dodge automatic trans.

true mother fucking story.
and i would quit pressing the fact that you have an R/T. SLOWR/T knows what he's talking about and said they don't have an R/T ram YET, implying that he knows about the new one. there is a lot of ignorance in this thread. the truck looks clean, but looks like every other ram that all the 60+ year old fisher men drive. we're glad you got a truck that you like but please be humble and modest about your new investment.

You have a Magnum V8. The only Ram R/T is 2009-2010 so far. Besides you dont ecen have the big engine offered in 98. If they would have made a Ram R/T it would have had the Magnum V10. Anyways nice truck, sucks you have been duped though.

Nice Ram. Dakota owner here myself. I like the color a lot. But they are right. It is just an R/T Badge, if it were really an R/T truck (which didnt exist in 98) it would say it on the side emblems as well.
And as for the automatic transmission... Mine is about to be rebuilt for the second time and I'm at 158,000 miles :gay:

Hey every One ok im gonna set it strait
Its a RAM SPORT buddy im not hating I OWN a 2002 Dodge Dakota R/T .
Yes those year models came with 360's not that R/T's.
1998-2001 5.9 L (360 cu in) Magnum V8 245 hp (183 kW) (standard), 250 hp (190 kW) (Sport package)[1]
Notice ITS THE SPORT PACKAGE NOT R/T they only dropped the 360 into dakotas for a Road and track ready truck because the 318 is not powerful enough. R/T DAKOTAS have Sport tires on them and a race ready suspension urs does not.
The Rams with the 360 i believ were limited to the 4x4 and the More Jacked up ones with the strait five spoke rims. If it would actualy be an R/T it would have the road and track rims and thos are magnum rims .that is a Dakota Emblem and it looks like a dakota tail gate actually . NO R/T came with step sides the only thing that would clue the r/t integrity to this truck woul be the paint to match Grill
Like i said not to hate just to educate

hey man thanks for offering actual evidence, but i'll just say a couple things, it does have a 360 in it. i know that for sure, and it is a rwd truck. maybe this was due to a swap, i'm not sure. and the side steps are aftermarket. they were put on by the previous owner.
i'm not saying youre wrong i appreciate your post, im just trying to get to the bottom of this. thanks again.

The Dodge Ram SS/T is a unique factory street version of the popular Dodge Ram. The throaty, head-turning exhaust note of the SS/T insures you will probably hear it before you see it. For 1998 the specially-tuned 5.9-liter (360) V8 engines horsepower was lowered to 245.
The SS/T package for 1998 includes engine and exhaust modifications, racing stripes, color-keyed bumpers including the grille, lower fascia and rear valance panel. A tachometer, dual-note horn and fog lights are also included. Exterior color choices include black, emerald green and flame red, all with silver stripes, or bright white with blue stripes.
Both 1997 and 1998 models of the bold, in your face Dodge Ram SS/T were a hit with sport truck enthusiasts. Making these Limited Edition Trucks very desirable and very collectible, but also very hard to find. 1998 was the final year for the Dodge Ram SS/T."
