Not sure if this is the exact place this question should go but here goes anyway. Ok .. so

I'm going to keep it real, I was watching porn on various sites provided by our lovely 'Red Light District' and before I knew it I kept on getting pop up messages all over the place telling me that I have this & that virus, it's dangerous etc. and then of course another link pops up as Antivirus System Pro or something like that & gives me a screen to enter my credit card info to pay. I'm like heck no this is a straight up scam .. anyway it's getting extremely annoying because I get a pop-up about every 10 secs of some sort relating to this. So far I have tried running a Full scan via Ad-Aware, and this virus will not let me run System Restore or any other virus software I had (AVG).

Help Please !!

Try downloading and running SpyBot S&D, it works pretty well. I have no patience at all for malware and would probably just reinstall the OS, but thats just me :)

I'm not sure about Spybot but you can alway try http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html

Excellent programs and will remove what it finds - run a quick scan and should be fine.

If after running these and it's still bad, download HijackThis and submit the report it gives to a good computer forum for analysis.

spybot and malwarebytes are two good options. run the scan, clean it up, if you still have a problem reinstall windows. it's always nice having a fresh copy of windows anyway.

ps use firefox, opera, chrome or any of these browsers for your porn or anything needs. IE is a fuckup.

I use Mozilla.

Ok so I just downloaded all 3 recommended options. I'm crossing my fingers ..

*EDIT- The virus wouldnt even let me open SpyBot so that means no install for that but Malware Byte installed & ran perfectly. Now it seems that I am virus free. Thanks & reps for everyone!

Just to add..

If you do run -> MSconfig then go to startup, you will usually see numbers (812498752) or something like that, that is usually the virus. Disable that, restart, then try running Spybot S & D. That will stop the virus from 'starting up' ... on start up lol.

If you have any questions, just shoot me a PM.
