Lost dog - Peachtree City

Hey all.

I volunteer with an animal rescue, http://homelesspets.com/. We fostered this little guy for the last month. When we first got him I couldn't touch him; he just ran and cowered if he couldn't get away. By the end of our time together he was sleeping up on my pillow with his face on mine (yeah, I am one of those weird dog loving folk (not like that you sick bastards)).

A nice young girl who said she had experience with special need dogs came to adopt him Saturday afternoon. We got a call Saturday night that he had gotten away. We explicitly warned the girl that he would try to escape. But she apparently decided it was ok to walk him without the loop of the leash around her wrist because supposedly he just pulled away from her while she was taking him out.

We spent Sat night, all of Sunday and Monday putting up flyers and calling for him. No luck. If any of you know folks in Peachtree City or Fayette Country who find a dog please let me know. I know this is a long shot, but he was a special little guy.

Thanks. For the folks that live down there he ran from the Ridgefield condominiums right off Peachtree Parkway. He was last seen across 74 on TDK road near the rail road tracks.

Yeah, I think he is a Doberman/Daschund mix... ;)

In reality he is probably a beagle daschund mix. He looks like a Daschund on steroids. Probably 20 lbs, long body, and fast as hell. Outran pretty much everything on the big dog side of the dog park after he proved to be to much for the small dogs. I hope we find him.

I did get a voicemail after midnight last night telling me that he was basically in the same area we looked all weekend off Dividend Dr in front of the UPS building. I am not sure what to do. I bet he doesn't come out during the day. Maybe I can camp out down there.

Wonder if the PTree city police would mind if I was sleeping in a tent in front of the UPS building...

Thanks! I got two calls this morning from the same area so I am heading down there tonight to set traps. I will let you all know if I have a pet raccoon available for adoption soon.... :D

And we found him tonight! Just hanging out by the side of the road under a giant bush.

Poor little guy ate an entire cheeseburger, and a can of wet food. He can't way more than 20 lbs. He is going to explode later.

I wanted to thank Admin for moving this thread for me. I really appreciate it as we were pretty desperate to find the little bastard.

congrats on finding him! most people dont put that much effort into finding a dog and i hate it! reps to you for looking as long as you did
