Well I've decided I just don't like the tone afterall of the Mesa Studio Pre and 2:90 power amp. I'm sure they'd be great for someone else's ear, just doesn't really do it for me. If you're looking at this ad, you more than likely know the reviews and features on the two Mesa amp items. I really want to sell these as a pair as I don't want to be sitting on a preamp or power amp for 2 weeks after one sells, and amps I want to replace them slipping through my fingers because I don't have all the money to purchase one when I find what I want.

The preamp is in great shape and all the knobs and sliders and switches function perfectly, no scratchy pots. The face is in great shape. It has Electro Harmonix tubes in it and have let it warm up and cool down properly every time I've used it. No footswitch or manual, but there are many footswitches that'll work for it and the manual can be downloaded.

The poweramp functions perfectly as well. All knobs work great and no scratchy pots. I've used both sides of the output with a speaker load hooked up, so no worry about a fried transformer or shortened tube life. It has a few scratches on the front, which you can see in the pics. It's no big deal but if you're really anal about cosmetics, you could probably just color them in with a Sharpie. It has Mesa tubes in it, and the studio guy I got it from in Nashville said it was recently looked through by a tech and got a clean bill of health.

All this stuff works fantastic, just not my cup of tea anymore. Looking to unload all this so I can look into hot rodded Marshall sounding amps, mostly looking for heads more than likely. Wanting something like a Splawn, Avenger or Hot Rod 50, SLO clone, maybe will check into some Roccaforte amps, things of that nature.

The price for a Studio Pre on Ebay's completed listings hover around $550, the 2:90 around $800-900. The comressor seems to sell for around $75-100, and the maximizer around $50-60. Just to put a number down for a price on the two amps together, I'm going to ask $1300. If it's high and you don't like the price, PM me with an offer and maybe we can work something out. I'll take $75 for the compressor and $50 for the maximizer.

Anywho, here are the pics:
