View Full Version : 85 North Traffic???
Is traffic going 85 North worse at 7pm or 830pm? What time would you rather be heading home at, 7 or 830?
In the fall I'm gonna have to choose a class down a gsu that gets out at either 7 or 830 and I have no idea what traffic is like at that time, all the classes i'm taken thus far have gotten out at 9:45 so I have never experienced any traffic going north.

I'd rather go at 8:30 cause 7 is still pretty close to rush hour..

Yea, 8:30. What area are you coming from though? I remember when I went to DeVry. 2 hours of traffic to go 25 miles exactly. From Lawrenceville to ALpharetta.

As long as there are no serious accidents requiring a complete shutdown at some time then 7pm traffic is not much differant than 8:30. Since the end of last summer i've worked in Buckhead and lived in G'ville, 2.5-3 hrs a day driving, 49 miles each way. Luckily i now live in midtown...10 minutes to the office w/ traffic and no more 2,000 miles per month just on commuting.
i'm coming from downtown atlanta (ga state uni.).....
i was asking the question "in general"? b/c like i said i'm registering for classes in the fall. I'm thining 830 as well though. No point in getting out of class at 7 if i'm gonna have to sit in traffic for another hour.

Peachtree Industrial may be better after 7am. I work on PeachTree Industrial near Duluth and I almost never take 85 to get to perimeter.
