I disagree. My thought has always been if someone's going to pull a gun chances are they'll use it so it's always worth trying to defend yourself if they give an opportunity. Yay for the skateboarder.

All these gangstas want to act tough, and think showing a gun makes them a badass. It's mostly a scare tactic. I do know it's a serious thing whether they use it or not, but in all honesty most of these guys are just trying to put up a front.

Secondly, BECAUSE it's a scare tactic, and you have to question what kind of person this guy is......your best bet would be to just do what he says and not be confrontational. Sure this dude beat his ass, but there's a better chance this guy will get his buddies and find that kid again and either kill him or hurt him very badly later on. With it being filmed, I'm sure it will eventually circulate back to someone he knows which will cause him more embarrassment...plus it makes it easier for him to figure out who the guy is and where he lives.

It's not wrong, it's a personal choice. I understand that most of the people like that pull a gun for intimidation and won't use it. Thing is, what if the person that pulls a gun on you is ready to use it? I'm not saying fighting back is the best choice in every situation. I'm saying be compliant and do what they say, but if up close and given an opening...I'm going to do my best to kill that fucker because my mindset is anyone that pulls a gun on me already has the intention, the tools, and the opportunity to kill me. If a gun is pointed at me I'm not worried about if I'm going to get shot I'm just wondering when...which is why I would choose to act if given an opportunity.

Dealing with his buddies later on is a whole different situation.

Of course, common sense says your best bet is to avoid people, situations, and areas where that type of incident might occur...but there's always that random chance.

Eh, I just watched the video again. Looks like he was pointing the gun at the guy's friend when he went after him. I probably would have done the same thing.

But it is seriously a VERY stupid thing to post this video up. There's a good chance that some random dude who walks around on the street carrying a pistol and likes pulling it out to threaten people with is f'd in the head and will go WAY OVERBOARD in responding to this (possibly hurting or killing more than just the kid that beat him up), and/or has several friends who act the same way that will come after him and his friends as well.

Posting this video on the internet just gives this guy and his friends a chance to get a good look at all of the kids so they can track them down.
