View Full Version : I need you guy's opinion (84 E30)

I need an opinion on an E30 I'm planning to buy. The price was originally $500, but I talked the guy down to $350. I'm including a few pics, because honestly I've wanted one for some time, but I know nothing about them. What I do know is that the car wont start, when I try to crank it, its just a click sound. Not a clicking, just like a click? Something looks sketchy with the door locks too...I dunno what thats about. The int. is wrecked, as the pics show. The engine looks about the same, I was told that its been sitting for maybe 3 weeks. I believe it, because it still has a tag good until Dec 09.

What do you guys think though? What are some common issues with E30s? Do the engine pics show any tell-tale signs I should know about. Anything jumping out screaming "NOOOO!"?

Looks like a huge headache, IMO. I wouldn't touch it unless it's to part it out.

I have no idea wsup with the lock. You're the second person to say don't touch it, I think I'm just gonna accept that this isnt the best move.

i wouldnt do it... you can get a better car for a little more... too much to fix man.. too much.. find one with a m20 motor in it.. good base for boosting..

yeah he has a title, but the car is crap. not worth it
