Check here, its a pretty good resource for national level incentives.

http://www.edmunds.com/incentives/RebateController?step=1&setzip=30004&tid=edmunds.n.incentivesindex.incentives.1.1.*

Edit - You can get 0% for 60 months on a GTI.

A new car is bad investment so buying a Jetta shouldn't make a difference.

Bmw had some crazy low interest rates on the M3 along with no cost maintenance for 50k miles. I think it was 1.9%?

1.9% still makes for epic payments on a car that costs $43,233,023.95

well i have a 09 GTI w/ the new TSI motor...

if you want my honest opinion go check out three different cars:

1) GTI - 2/4dr models w/ TSI motor which rocks; except for 91+ octane needed
2) Jetta - comes w/ TDI option w/ killer clean diesel and gets 59mpg
3) CC - baller VW absolutely beautiful interior has VR6 + 4motion options

all of the above you can get in the low-mid 20's :bump:

The Jetta 2.5, powered by a 170-hp inline-five-cylinder, is EPA rated at 21/29 mpg (manual transmission). The TDI makes just 140 hp from its 2.0L turbocharged diesel I-4 and delivers an EPA estimated 30/41. Compare the averages of 25, and 35.5 mpg represents roughly a 10 mpg improvement. Yes, this is a simplistic look at a complex scenario, and your mileage will vary, but it's at least a metric for comparison. And the difference, folks, is huge.

damn... number 2 sounds attractive, had no idea the new TDI's were so efficient, i always thought they were mid 30's mpg

the new TDI has been tested and has hit over 50+mpg , but they weren't able to list the car w/ such MPG; i'm guessing retape w/ the EPA and hybrid automakers...

why would anyone want to pay less for fuel now that diesel is cheaper and get better mpg...

you should look up the tdi vs prius the chicago times reporter did... he took a 500 mile drive i think from boston and back and tdi did it in one tank where the prius needed to refuel.
