So, the ARSCCA had their only night autocross of the season over the weekend. It was a lot of fun! Our series sponsor also had a big cookout for us and gave away loads of prizes in a charity raffle... including a $1000 MOTON gift certificate.

Here are some selections from the event... more can be found here:

That high of an ISO made for crazy amounts of noise! Otherwise, nice pics!

I would like to see another DLSR shoot at ISO3200 with less noise than that. (Besides the d300)

That high of an ISO made for crazy amounts of noise! Otherwise, nice pics! That's exactly what I was thinking. Why'd you skip completely on flash? I'm sure you knew that ISO was going to show.

Looks like Civics were catching all the cones.

The noise is relatively low, IMO, for ISO3200.

Using my bright-ass flash at night on unsuspecting drivers is NOT a good idea. Plus, you cant get the same sense of speed because the flash does weird things to wheels in motion.

It was really just the wrong time and place to use flash... so I bumped the ISO to compensate. My camera has the ability to shoot at that ISO and still look pretty good. Why try to use a crutch and have the pictures look like poo with a flash?

It was a night-time event for pete's sake.
