Hey not many of guys know me, but my name is Matt and im the guy that owns the blue Lincoln Towncar on hydraulics, well this weekend i got my hands on another big project, damn shell alone cost me 5gs but i always wanted a 55 BelAir, anyways, it needs interior and some moldings need to be rechromed......ohhhh and the original engine only has 15,000 miles cause the car has been sitting for the past 35 years........

Im planning to have it ready in about 6 months with hydraulics or airbags also....

I like the project but if it were mine I would turn it into a Hot Rod instead of a Lowrider. But do what you do and keep us posted with the progress. :goodjob:

This is mt first old school project so if you guys have ever had one please give me some input on where to start.....

Start by taking those wheels off, and put a real suspension on there. You're going to give too many 60 yr olds heart attacks driving that around.

Depends on what you do with the money. My dad has less than $10k in his '57 Bel-Air coupe (including the car circa 1972) and is in the 11s.

Also, a shoe-box Chevy doesn't qualify as a muscle car. It would qualify as a hot rod with the right upgrades. :goodjob:

please do not make it a low rider.... ever seen a nostalgic gasser??
Or just make it look stock and sink more of your budget into motor and drive train.

Whatever you do, good luck to you.

Who ever says to make a hot rod out of a 4 door Bel-Air is HIGH.

This is prime lowrider material.
