View Full Version : Power Mods Info about this turbo

I have recently picked up a 91 240sx hatch it has a sr20det swap with a megan manifold, greddy elbows, greddy piping, big nismo down pipe, huge greddy fmic, hks ssbov, hks full 3" exhaust, rc555 injectors, walbro 255 fuel pump, apexi avc-r, greddy full auto turbo timer, some other apexi programer, and he said the turbo is a garret hybrid t28 it is stamped a/r 60 on the cold side and .64 on the hot side he said the turbo had been ported or bored or somthing. My question is can my motor put close to 400 hp to the rear wheels with this set up or should I upgrade the turbo. The turbo on it is new and the car has a break in tune on it know and put 318 to the rear wheels know the tune was done at lethal injection. Any info would be greatly app

how much pressure are you running on the turbo currently to make 318whp? as long as the turbo still has room on the compressor map (meaning that the psi required to make 400 whp on your setup is still efficient) then yes, you should be able to hit 400whp. now whether or not the sr20 can handle 400whp in stock form i have no idea (you didn't mention if it had any internal work done)

Im sry Im currently running 10psi, the bottom is all fordged and the head has been ported and polished I was told that I could run 15psi and the turbo be reliable and could run 17 to 19psi but the turbo wouldnt hold up. The car also has a r33 lsd diff. Its my first turbo car im used to my supercharger foxbody mustang. The 240 pulls real hard and is a fun ride though
