I dont think the question here is (as the consensus seems to be going) weather or not its JDM. I beleive the term "rice" in my opinion at least, just means tacky obnoxious shit to get attention even though it is cheap and makes the car look cheap.

I don't think I'd mess around with ebay ones, but I do think they have potential to look outstanding. However, it's one of those things I wouldn't do on a cheaper/older car.

Deke is correct, it only really works and looks good on newer model cars with headlights that are shaped in such a way as to compliment the use of halos.

Eh I had a pair on my Civic. I like the look of them. Make me feel like a fake BMW owner. Debating still on whether to throw a pair on the Accord or just to keep my headlights stock.

I think one could pull off Audi LED strips better and still look clean. The circles get real old real quick. You'll notice that the BMWs that have them are of much different quality, eveness,kelvin temperature, and light give off pattern. I will say that E36s with aftermarket ebay angle eye rings pull it off ok just because it is a BMW thing that was put on a similarly shaped car just one bodystyle later (e46)

I love halo's but most of the time they just don't look right on civic's... But I loved them on my integra. So personal opinion i guess....

Im back and forth. The purist in me says its for BMWs only. However in some cars and when its done right, it can look good. Like CarbonGS (Tony).

I think they should really only go in expensive cars or cars really well done since you are attracting attention. I never understand seeing halos and then the rest of the car is a hot mess.

I think it completely depends on the headlights themselves. There are some stock looking ones with halos and those look good and then there are god awful looking headlamps with them. So I say if you have them on your car and it looks stock, then they look good. However, most cars look stupid with them because they have cheesy headlamps to start with.
