Single cylinder 2 stroke engine, 30ish PSI compression. Dump a little oil in the cylinder and retest. Jumps to 90. Bad rings?

Yea or worn bore alot of times on 2-stroke. Make sure you measure bore taper and bore roundness.

You ever come across a good deal on a stand up ski?

Yeah, got 2 right now. Take $200 for either one. One is a JS300 and the other is a JS550. The 300 (one in question now, needs rings, have ordered, be here next week) and the 550 needs pistion/rings.
I got the head off, cylinder has some scratches but should be ok with hone/re-ring.

Pics can be found here. Doesn't run at all right now, no clue why it needs a piston. I haven't had time to look at it.
