just finished installing my autometer mechanical oil pressure gauge.
i used a Greddy Oil-Filter Adapter to run the line from.
1st crank-Goes to 80+
driving in neighborhood goes pass 100+,almost to the needle again.
Go back home.

2nd crank-Goes and sits around 25ish.
driving in Neighborhood gets high again.

What are the numbers suppose to be at?
Is the gauge/line just getting air bubbles out?
or what could it be.

99 accord,F23 turbo.

If the engine isn't up to operating temperature the pressure will be higher until the temperature rises. Even with the weather being in the 90s the oil still isn't up to operating temp. With the engine warmed up, what is the oil pressure at idle? Also, what is the oil pressure at about 3000 rpm with the engine warmed up.

when warmed the oil pressure will be between 20-25psi at idle and rise as rpms rise. when first cranking the car the oil is cold and pressure is higher.
