Proper FITMENT
rollininstyle2004
07-02-2009, 04:46 PM
I agree...I wish more people thought out their ride height related to their wheel size related to their wheel width related to the tire size related to the offsets, etc. It all has to work together. Even ugly wheel stanced right look sooo much better. I would almost venture to say a correctly stanced ugly wheel looks better then a non thought out nicer wheel.

Well man, what you like is pointless to him. He likes to rock stretched tires and whatever, you don't. Sure it's the internet and your opinion is your own but honestly, give your opnion and when he doesn't agree with it, leave. It's that easy. No need to justify to him why you don't agree with him....waste of keystrokes.
I like both schools of though. I love the stretched tire look, but I like to be able to drive my car. That's why fitment is king......like the thread was named.

this sad little setup is
18x8 all around
+38 -25mm = +13 F
+26 -15mm = +11 R
all on 235/45/18s
ideally i should have some 215/40s but this'll suffice i suppose until i get ballin :dunno:

i agree. even for show VERY impractical. but thats the lifestyle i guess.http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j261/Knonimous/GIFs/shrug.gif
but thus far Logan is the only one the contributed a real example of fitment. when cars a bagged to negative camber hell it kinda defeats the purpose of having proper fitment. so far the white y33 is the only one that seems close to fitted properly at ride height.

I should have something new to stance pretty soon. 16x8/9, ~et10/15, 205/40 Falken 512s all around. If you can guess the car that setup would look proper on then you get a cookie...or at least reps
honestly... just about anything.
but being 16s and considering that i would never put 16s on a Nissan... i'm rolling with a Honda.
Accord is a definite fit (and not often done)
Civics although cliche would be sick.
Integras ehh... its been done.
But now there lies the fact that they're staggered... its not everyday someone puts staggered wheels on an FF car. hmm..... im lost now :( shit. did i just analyze that way too much? :o

lol.
yeah... i was totally lost that day. after i left work i started thinking Miatas! :D
i think i mentioned the Hondas cuz i recall seeing a thread where you and Tony put a shit ton of work into an Accord. so i guess i tried to use context clues :o
but yeah... if it aint a big car or a Honda i cant put my hand on it. is it German?

Yea, Tony and I were bored and did some work on the Accord. Im getting rid of it though, I hate that thing...I actually just dislike Hondas (sorry half of IA).
I am most likely picking up an MKIII VR6 GTI soon ;)
If all goes well ill be bagging it and driving around scraping the oil pan on the ground. Not as balls to the walls as the Passat was, just clean and euro. :goodjob:

Really interested in seeing that build.
When I get to a good stopping point with the scion I'd like to grab a mk3.
I also wouldn't mind seeing pictures of said wheels...those specs are perfect for my car.
:ninja:
If it's a secret I'll just wait patiently then...

on the teg i run 205/40/17s with GC coilovers, tucking just a little in the front and dropped right on the tire in the rear. before the IA haters get started, i have a 4-door teg with a front and rear lip so i can get away with having 17s :D
i probably have -1ish camber in the front and -1.5ish in the rear. works out for me as a DD

I don't think a fender sitting on top of tires is proper fitment. If I am going that low then I am going all out and tucking the tires so far into the fender well you have to remove the inner fender. Of course that requires adjustable suspension but so be it. If I'm going low then dammit I am going all the way.

ammm 7.5 inches if i remember right. i don't have a stretched sidewall. and i don't rub, even with ppl in the back the ride is still pretty decent. and my fender liners are removed in the front.

if you obviously dont like this style, then why do you constantly look at the threads that contain it and contribute nothing but hate? I mean, i dont like alot of shit, but i try not to just shit on everyone anymore. Everyone has a different style they like most, or choose to follow. For some people they love this style and commit everything to achieve it, just like some guys commit everything to show they have the biggest balls and go fast in a straight line.
