I bought this for my SBC S10 a while back and it worked fine as far as electrically starting, just the starter didn't fit. The block was the kind that had the angled bolt pattern, rather than the straight bolt pattern, so the starter gear was actually touching the flywheel even at rest, so that wasn't going to work. It really isn't even used but sorta is. I'm never going to use this thing since I don't have a SBC anymore.

I got it from Speedway Motors and it has the heat shield. It fits 153 and 168 tooth flywheels and is 1.4kw. The starter alone is new for $109.99 and the heatshield is $14.99. I want to sell this fast, so I'd take $50 for all of it firm.

This is a very similar starter, the only difference I can see is the square holes in the mounting block, mine doesn't have those, just the round holes for the bolts.
Speedway Motor's site is down or else I'd link to the actual pic.
