I've been looking around online for a suction cup style camera mount in which I can mount inside my car to the underside of the sun roof. I'd like to do this so I can get video of my drag racing runs. I've seen a various amount of mounts online ranging from around $100 to around $20. My questions is, can anyone offer any suggestions to a good sturdy mount that will not fall off while drag racing, and isn't too expensive? For comparison, I found one on Amazon here:

http://www.amazon.com/Panavise-809-Camera-...8422&sr=8-1 (http://www.amazon.com/Panavise-809-Camera-Window-Mount/dp/B000246ST6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1245878422&sr=8-1)

Only $18 for that one, but then there are ones like this:

http://www.filmtools.com/filmtools-in-car-...mera-mount.html (http://www.filmtools.com/filmtools-in-car-windshield-camera-mount.html)

Which that one is considerably more expensive at $85+ shipping. I know the more expensive one will be better, but I'm not sure I need one quite that heavy duty. My camera is a Canon Powershot S3 IS, so it's fairly light but a little bigger than your typical point and shoot.

Can anyone offer up some suggestions? I'd like to stay below $50 incl. shipping for a decent mount.

Thanks in advance.

i think you should expect a lot of camera shake if its a plastic unit. (or conversely - if its a cheap unit), however i don't have too much knowledge in this department. but it should be like anything else with photography - you get what you pay for. read reviews!
