i was told this was possible and that DA's have an access panel under the back seat.. well, that panel is not the fuel pump.. it is the fuel feed lines and the measure thingy.. so basically i needed to drain and drop my tank but thats too much work for me..

i borrowed a dremel from my step dads shop and made my own access panel to the fuel pump"i used blueprints on the tank to estimate where the pump would be".. no draining and dropping tanks for me.. :goodjob:

:police: ""warning, this is very dangerous!! sparks fly around caused by the dremel's blade..keep a fire extinguisher handy if your doin this"" :police:

yeah, i got quoted at the local shop i take my car too and they wanted $550 for labor and the parts... i said F that! paid 130 for the pump and filter and maybe took 30 min. of my time :goodjob:

spilt a little gas inside the car though.. so it reaks of gas and prolly will for a few days, but this saved me so much time and money.. just unsafe to do cus you can cut too deep among other things..

That is one way to do it, and one that I definitely wouldn't do to my car. What did you do about the sharp-edged hole in your floor?

i sanded the edge so it wasnt so sharp.. as far as the hole goes, im going to just fold the flap back down with a hammer or "rubber mallet" and use some metal tape to seal the cut..

Lol yea just like some one said above, you are brave! But yet a smart idea. You know what you could do it cut the uncut part. And use a piano hinge for future access. I would seal it off with some rubber tubing or something. :goodjob:

take my word on it if they did a hack job like this it wouldnt be $550. thank god your not a mechanic or u would be hungry all the time.

Why u gotta hate barefoot.. Not everyone is rich and can afford Retarded $550 fuel pump repairs.. I had an idea so i ran with it.. And it worked... So wuts the problem?
