in a sence... they actually took the design from the honda prelude 4th gen with w4s (four wheel steering) i had 1 about a year and a half ago... the back wheels have a system that pushes the wheels.

nissan has had Hicas on cars since the late 80's... it's fairly useless other than low speed maneuvers around parking lots and such. at high speeds it's unpredictable and makes the car very odd to handle.

yea your right nissan has had there system as well, but the r34 4ws was based off the 4th gen 4ws prelude.... as well you are right... at high speeds it could be a problem that is why at 30mph is is shut off on the(prelude) i didnt like it, but... no idea when it is shut off on the nissan.

why would you need 4ws at low speed besides trying to inch your way into a parking space? I say take off the thing that shuts it off and DRIFT!!!!

yup, slow speeds it would allow for sharp turns, but at high speeds it wouldnt help out much.

Bullshit. The ATTESSA 4WD/4WS steering was not based off the 4th gen prelude. And what about HICAS? Some 240 guys should be able to vouche. The R32s had this and as stated earlier the e39 galant vr-4 awd wheel drive/ all wheel steering. Parking assist at low speeds and adjustable a few degrees at speeds above 31 mph.

Think about it what has more in common with a skyline?

Turbo awd aws or a prelude with primitive 4ws?

Just because it has the same type of features, dont make yourself sound like a noob and relate the two.

wow excuse me... btw i do have a 240sx so i know what is common with a skyline and not common with a prelude... read my post over. you said 31mph... i said 30mph your 1 mph over mine BIG DEAL yes the prelude is old and primitive. ok so lets not make this into a war over 4ws and where it came from, its not big of a deal but this skyline is so lets roll with that :)

Its not just the mph difference its the fact that a 4th gen prelude with 4ws has nothing to do with the delopment of the skyline 4ws systems thats all....

I guess the R32-pioneered ATTESA ETS was based off the Prelude too since the 4G lude came after it.

Seen these pics before and its been debunked already. The motor isn't in the car. Notice there are no pics of the car with the hood up. If you had that beast in there wouldn't you show it. Its a JGTC car thats all. And I will too say the honda prelude had nothing to do with the HICAS system. It was developed first. They work the same but thats solely because they both have to do the same thing, turn the wheels. For real racing most people just lock it out, we've done it only every car that has it here. As for drifting with it, I'd advise against it. Don't want the rear wheels turning while they're sliding.

This shits actually pretty funny if your not involved, but yea 4ws sucks (no drift) and that is/was a badass skyline! Even if it doesnt have the V12 anymore.
